A Harare woman has been sentenced to 50 months in prison for unlawful possession of dangerous drugs.

According to court records, Chipfunde was intercepted by law enforcement officers on February 7, 2025, at the Masvingo turn-off while attempting to secure transportation to Harare.
A search of her belongings revealed a floral duvet blanket wrapped in transparent plastic, concealing the large quantity of cannabis.
Chipfunde was subsequently arrested and charged with unlawful possession of dangerous drugs.
