0

Controversial business man, Elon Musk has been at loggerhead with the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters, Julius Malema a South African position party. This online battle comes after the United States of America president, Donald Trump passed an executive order cutting off aid given to the country, accusing the government for having “racist law” and treating the white minorities “terribly”.

This comes after Musk took to his X account calling for South Africa’s Malema to be sanctioned and added he be declared an international criminal.

“Immediate sanctions for Malema and declaration of him as an international criminal”,

wrote Musk on his X account, formally known Twitter.

The post was made in response to a video of Malema along with a full stadium were loudly chanting a war cry, “shoot to kill, kill the Boers”. In an interview he however clarified that he was not calling for the slaughtering of white people.

“We are fundamentally disagreeing with white people on how we are going to re-distribute the land in South Africa to create an equal society”, he said

Tensions have been thicker than ever between South Africa and USA and are only getting worse. The EFF leader, an out spoken politician and activists did not hold back, calling Musk, a typical spoilt brat and a direct beneficiary of apartheid whiteness.

“I will never stop fighting back for black people to be equal to white people, and if that makes me an international criminal, I am proud to be one”, shot back Malema.

South Africans took to social media to stand in solidarity with one of their own, calling him a son of the soil. It is difficult to ignore the hypocrisy within the USA government for accusing South Africa of “stealing” land, while Trump has openly spoken about wanting to take over, Panama, Canada, Greenland and the Gaza strip. As the altercation escalated, Elon Musk went on to tweet again, calling Julias Malema a “genocidal lunatic”.

In his speech in parliament today, Malema stated,

“We want to make it very clear that should not be confused with a generation of cowards who can be bullied by imperial forces and power-hungry individuals intoxicated by the wealth of apartheid. The Unites States of America has bullied nations before and imposed senseless and arbitrary sanctions and threatened wars but we are a different generation”. Malema has gained the support of many across Africa, with others calling him a true pan-Africanist.
