Airforce plane crashes,kills pilot

The Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) announces the death of Air Lieutenant Nesbert Tambudza after his K-8 trainer aircraft crashed near Guinea Fowl in Gweru.

The crash happened during a training flight. The ZDF said it was part of the pilot’s navigation training. They called the incident an unfortunate accident.

General PV Sibanda, the commander of the ZDF, expressed sadness over the loss. He offered condolences to Air Lieutenant Tambudza’s family and noted that many officers are mourning his death.

The ZDF confirmed that the pilot was seriously injured in the crash and did not survive. He was seen as a talented young officer in the Air Force.

An investigation into the crash will take place, involving local authorities and aviation safety officials. This incident raises questions about flight safety practices.
