Prophet Walter Magaya is shifting focus from his recent controversies to giving back to the community through sports development. Amidst the Unisa saga, Magaya has taken his stadium renovation crusade to Kadoma, partnering with the Kadoma City Council to renovate Rimuka Stadium, Kadoma.

Magaya’s passion for sports development is well-documented, having built his Heart Stadium in Waterfalls from scratch, with his sights set on renovating Rimuka Stadium, Magaya aims to bring world-class facilities to Kadoma, fostering sporting talent and development in the community.

“I want to make a pledge, this one is for the development of this facility to meet world-class standards,” Magaya said during a tour of the stadium. “We have the concept of a B Arena, as espoused by FIFA regulations, which fits in with the available infrastructure. I want to ensure Kadoma benefits just like the other towns. There’s a lot of talent here, judging by products we know, including your very own Cuthbert Malajila.”

The renovation project has been welcomed by local authorities, with Kadoma Mayor Cllr Nigel Ruzario expressing his delight at the gesture. “We’re delighted by this gesture. It will bring sporting development in the city,” he said. Former Warriors star Cuthbert Malajila, who was present during the tour, also praised the initiative, highlighting the need for quality facilities to nurture local talent.

As Magaya navigates the challenges posed by the Unisa saga, his commitment to sports development and community empowerment is a testament to his resilience and dedication to giving back. With Rimuka Stadium’s renovation poised to bring new life to Kadoma’s sporting scene, Magaya’s efforts may just be the catalyst for positive change in the community.
