The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) is bridging the gap between technology, policy, law and practice.
This was revealed in its just released potraz report on the last quarter performance of the previous year 2024 and what the telecommunications companies it regulates that fall under its auspices fared like during the period.
Potraz also confirmed in a recent tweet that they are the country’s only, “designated Data Protection Authority of Zimbabwe,”
In light of this Potraz has organized a Data Privacy week symposium 2025 to be held end of this month.
Potraz confirmed on its twitter or X handle that it, “invites you to the 2nd edition of the Data Privacy Symposium to be held in Victoria Falls from 28 – 30 January 2025.”
The theme is, “Bridging the gap between technology, policy, law and practice:Towards strengthing Data protection in Zimbabwe.”
Potraz also added invites to relevant stakeholders adding that, “Your organization is encouraged to send representatives to familiarize with this important subject matter, including the Data Protection Officer’s and senior executives.”
They further stated that attendance will earn DPO’s and CPD points.
