Murisi Zwizwai Laid To Rest
Former Harare Central Member of Parliament Murisi Zwizwai was laid to rest yesterday at Glen Forest Cemetery, Harare yesterday.
Zwizwai died at the age of 54, he died on Saturday morning after a short illness.
Advocate Nelson Chamisa remarked his good history and memories with Zwizwai, ” We have a history to tell which we have gathered here for , Yes Zwizwai was in the Senate. I know he had the zeal to work for the country and how he got into the senate we will not dwell on that.
We have come far with Zwizwai and we dwell on his positive contribution”.
Former Finance minister Tendai Biti regarded Zwizwai as one of the opposition figures who declared allegiance and support to Chamisa when he formed CCC in 2021.
Zwizwai was one of the first members of parliament of the Movement for Democratic Change after being elected in a by- election in 2003 before leaving the party with the formation of the CCC in 2022.
