A United States-based philanthropist Chenayi Siachakanzwa spearheaded academic Spelling Bee competitions in rurals reaching out to marginalised communities in Kariba where she is donating stationery, among other goods.
Speaking during the competitions she said, ” This is an educational intiative to enhance skills and it’s international programme which will boost self confidence in our children’s literature.
The winners are going to Chinhoyi next month thereafter they will go to Abuja Nigeria”.
She added that the organization is focused on supporting orphans focusing on learners in their basic needs for education.
Siachakanzwa through her organisation, Tinovimba Trust, donated stationery to hundreds of learners from Negande and other sorrounding schools.
