Twasumpuka FM To Awaken Sleeping Giant Binga

This year’s edition of the World Radio Day, will the birth of a new kid on the block, Twasumpuka FM.

The community radio station that will broadcast within the environs of Binga will be launched at celebrations of the World Radio Day on 23 February 2024 at Binga Primary School grounds.

This year’s celebration will run under the theme; “Radio: A century informing, entertaining and educating.”

This theme perfectly highlights the remarkable history of radio, its relevance presently, and the promising future for it to continue to cater for the world with information, entertainment and educational content.

The theme also sheds light on the ongoing utilitarian value of Radio as it is a portable and free public safety source.

World Radio Day is celebrated at the global level to tell the world about the consistent contribution of radio in offering information, entertainment, and education. The theme for this year also suggests the importance of radio in the past and present and its trust and contribution to the future despite all the technological advancements and inventions.
