CemAir’s New Joburg-Hre Route Boost’s Zim Tourism – Chief Koti

Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) Head Corporate Affairs Chief Godfrey Koti has said the new Johannesburg to Harare route by South Africa’s CemAir is a boost for Zimbabwe Tourism.

Speaking exclusively to TechnoMag, Chief Koti said “Zimbabwe will continue to experience tourism in leaps and bounds,” after the South African company announced intentions to launch this new route.The South African airline recently announced that it will launch a new route connecting Johannesburg and Zimbabwe’s Capital City, Harare.

This is a follow up to last year when CemAir launched another route to Zimbabwe, flying Johannesburg to Victoria Falls.

The Joburg – Vicfalls new route began on 9 August, and operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, according to the following schedule:

Johannesburg to VFA departs at 11:20 and arrives at 13:00 in Vic Falls.
VFA to Johannesburg departs at 13:30 and arrives at 15:10 in Johannesburg.

“Zimbabwe’s Sunshine city, Harare, is set to see a lot more South African travellers a big boost to our local tourism industry,” said Chief Koti.

This paradigm shift will certainly see an airlift to one of the best popular African destinations which resultantly is about to increase soon.

The privately owned Independent South African airline, CemAir announced its excitement in the launch of its latest regional route, flying between Johannesburg and Harare.

The new route will begin on 21 March, and will operate four weekly non-stop flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
