National Elections Agenda (NERA) in Zimbabwe signed a Memorandum Of Understanding with about 20 opposition political parties which did not participate in the 2023 general elections elections ,in which the MDC-A President Douglas Mwonzora elected as the spokesperson of NERA.
President of Forus Party Manyara lrene Muyenziwa was elected as the first convener and she preaches the gospel of unity to mainstream and cascade the supremacy and eminence of free, fair and credible elections to facilitate political power transfer, exercise of constitutional political rights and democratic liberties of people.
However the coming together of Zimbabwe’s opposition with the absence of Citizens for Coalition Change inclusion sparked mixed feelings across the nation.
The signed document is to commit to establishing a platform for purposes of lobbying advocacy with regard to the electoral reform agenda in Zimbabwe.
