PAPU Chairperson Hails African Postal Sector

The Chairperson of the PAPU Plenipotentiary Conference, Hon. Dr. Tatenda Annastacia Mavetera held a fruitful meeting yesterday with the PAPU General Secretariat at the PAPU Tower in Arusha.
Mavetera was briefed on the work that the PAPU is undertaken by the PAPU Secretary General Dr. Sifundo Chief Moyo who indicated that the Secretariat had developed robust postal initiatives aimed at addressing the ever-changing postal landscape in Africa, particularly focusing on logistics and e-commerce.
She also expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by the General Secretariat in developing the African Postal Sector and  urged staff to work diligently in creating relevant digital solutions that respond to Africa’s
postal service challenges, especially those that directly benefit PAPU Members in order to add value to consumers of postal services.
Mavetera emphasized the need to realign the  PAPU statutes, including the convention and regulations to match current market demands and operations.
