Transform Zimbabwe Leader Jacob Ngarivhume’s appeal case against a four-year prison sentence for inciting public violence which was due to be heard at the Harare High Court today has been postponed to Thursday.
His Lawyer Lovemore Madhuku said the hearing, which will be heard on Thursday, at 10 am, will be heard by a panel of Judges and lawyers. He however noted that the process of replacing one Judge who recused himself from the process was another reason for the delay in the process.
“Justice Chikowore recused himself from the panel, so replacing him took us some time, But I am sure the hearing will go as planned on Thursday,” said Madhuku.
Ngarivhume was arrested for inciting public violence on X (Twitter) where he urged people to join an illegal demonstration in July 2020
