Tapiwa Nyahumbane has been arrested for a case of murder which occurred on 26 November 2023 in Dzivarasekwa.
Posting on their X account, the police said, ”Police in Harare have arrested Tapiwa Nyahumbane (23) in connection with a case of murder which occurred on 26/11/23 at around 23:30 hours at the intersection of 7th and 4th Street, Dzivarasekwa.”
The victim identified as Clayton Nyamupenzi (25) died after being stabbed with a kitchen knife in the chest and palms following a scuffle.
The suspect had demanded to know the reason why the victim was no longer buying him beer.
In a different incident, Police in Harare are also appealing for information which may assist in identifying the body of an unknown male adult who was found dead in the drain along Sande Crescent, Graniteside on 27/11/23. The victim was found with multiple injuries all over the body.
