ICT Ministry To Host National Cyber Security Hackathon

The Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services in collaboration with POTRAZ will host the Zimbabwe National Cyber Security Awareness Month Hackathon on 29 November at Arundel School in Mt Pleasant.
The hackathon will be held to harness the creativity to design and stimulate product innovation and critical thinking among Zimbabweans.
The annual hackathon competition was conducted virtually. It is part of the country’s ICT innovation being administered by POTRAZ whose major objective is to increase research and development as well as ICT uptake by innovators and research institutions in Zimbabwe.
The Minister of ICT, Postal and Courier Services Hon Dr T Mavete will be the guest of honour and will preside over the event. Successful participants will be given various prices including laptops, mobile phones, a monthly mentorship program, and participation in the 2024 Hackathon.
