SA Calls For Closing Of lsraeli Embassy

South African lawmakers voted for the closing of the lsraeli embassy in Pretoria suspending all diplomatic relations until they agreed to stop its war with Palestinian lslamist group Hamas in Gaza, this was called for on Tuesday.
The South African President and cabinet are engaged over the matter, which remains the responsibility of the nationsl executive.
President Cyril Ramaphosa and senior foreign ministry officials have been criticsl of the Israel’s leadership during its devastating military campaign against Hamas, calling  on the lnternational Criminal Court to investigate them for potential war crimes.
The chief whip of the ANC Pemmy Majodina ammended the last point  of EFD draft resolution calling for the embassy’s closure stating that, ” Until a ceasefire is agreed to by lsrael and lsrael commits to binding United nations facilitated negotiations whose outcome must be just , sustainable and lasting peace”.
The Ambassador of the state of Palestine to Zimbabwe Dr Tamer Almassri also condemns the invasion by the lsraeli occupation army and demands the urgent international intervention to protect the civilians there.
“To date close to 12 000 Palestinians have been killed in the ongoing lsraeli genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and it is unfortunate that the Biden administration has become the spokesperson of apartheid lsrael in this genocide”.
