Citizen Coalition for Change candidate for Mabvuku-Tafara Constituency Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi is considering pulling out of the by-election race after one of the people who have been campaigning for him, was abducted and was found dead.
The Mabvuku-Tafara by-election came as a result of the so-called recalls that were done by CCC interim secretary general Sengezo Tshabangu.
Together with the Zanu PF losing candidate during the last election, the two successfully filed their papers to stand in the by-election set for 9 December 2023.
Tapfumaneyi Masaya was abducted on Saturday and was later found dead.
“It’s not easy, we cannot then rule over dead bodies. If it means dropping out, then I gave to,” Kufahakutizwi was quoted as saying.
