Zimbabwean music sensation Emegy Sylvester Chizanga popularly known as “Freeman” will this Saturday launch his album titled “Trophy” at Alex Sports Club in Harare.
Several renowned artists including Feli Nandi, Jah Prayzah, Saintfloew, Delroy Shewe, Nox and Tyfah Guni have been lined up to perform at the launch.
“Fireworks are expected at the album launch. Fans should expect a polished performance, it’s going to be a Trophy Experience, a representation of the works that we will showcase for our new season,” said the HKD boss.
As the name of the album depicts, he is undoubtedly among the best, a multi-Zim dancehall award winner. Freeman rose to stardom after the release of his track “Joina City”, which became a hit on radio stations and different drinking spots in the country.
In his music career, Freeman has won numerous awards including the Zimdancehall Awards for Best Male Artist (2014), Best Social Message (2015), Best Collaboration (2016) and Best Album (2019). He also scooped the Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA) for Song of the Year, Best Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year in 2023 and the Star FM Awards for Best Zimdancehall Artist, Best Collaboration and Song of the Year in 2023.
This 13th album has 13 songs and has been named Trophy because it signifies Freeman’s successful musical journey, the awards he scooped, the family and the levels he reached through musical experience. ”
