A Sandringham High School female student went missing on her way back to school.
The incident happened on 30 October 2023 and school authorities have confirmed the development.
In a statement, the school head, of Sandringham High School, owned by the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe, Manhera T confirmed the development before updating parents on the status quo of the missing child Tariro Tambala, a form 1 student. Tambala went missing on her way back to school from her home in Kadoma.
“It is very disturbing that we are learning that our form 1 female student went missing while on her way back to school from Kadoma her home,
“Tariro was collected from school by her guardian on the 20th of October 2023 for medical attention. One of her eyes is problematic.
“Yesterday 30/10/23 around midday when they were in Chegutu, Tariro is said to have requested to buy some books and a few items from a nearby shop. A sister to her mother who was talking to the school remained with her bags. This was the last time she was seen.
“Please be patient, if we gather any more information, we will share it. All along we were trying to establish first from the relatives since we just picked the issue from social media just like you did”
“Meanwhile, we all pray and hope that Tariro is safe.
“Have a prayerful night,” reads the letter
