All roads will this Friday lead to Bindura Country Club Rugby field for this year’s edition of the Bindura Arts Festival.
This year’s event will run under the theme “Arts and Culture in Action”.
A number of renowned artists including man of the moment, Mukudzei Mukombe a.k.a Jah Prayzah, Freeman, Holly Ten, and Carlos Green among others, have been lined up to perform at this event.
Speaking to this publication, Founder and Director of Bindura Arts Festival Foundation Umtali Saidi said this year’s event will be supported by the Culture Fund Trust of Zimbabwe through the creative actions and initiative funding by the European Union and has also partnered with Chipaz Promotion.
“The Bindura Arts Festival is the biggest event in the province. We had a talent-searching mission where we went to marginalised areas in the province to unearth, capacitate and magnify hidden talent through workshops and talent shows. The two winners who came out from each province were assisted to record at Nashtv,” he said.
He added, “We expect thousands of people from all walks of life in Mashonaland Central and Zimbabwe at large to come and support this year’s event. It is going to be big and this year’s festival has big names lined up including Jah Prayzah, Freeman, Holly Ten, Carlos Green, and also our two winners from Mbire and Shamva who are meant to showcase their talent.”
