The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Harare has arrested two suspects in connection with a case of attempted robbery which occurred along Shepperton Road, Granite Side at a shop recently.
Malvin Chiwara (21), Tinashe Kutsime (22) and two other accomplices, reportedly pounced at the shop on the pretext that they wanted to buy 500 pairs of plastic pushes, before attacking the shop attendant.
ZRP said other suspects escaped after the shop attendant escaped and sought assistance from the public.
Posting on their X account, ZRP said the arrest led to the recovery of the suspects’ getaway car, a Nissan March, registration number ADE 3867, hammer, machete, two screwdrivers and a metal hook.
