President Emmerson Mnangagwa has assured the country that his administration is investing in emerging industries such as biotechnology as a way of achieving an upper middle-income economy by 2030.
Speaking during the official opening of the Great Zimbabwe University Innovation Hub during the institution’s 17th graduation ceremony, President Mnangagwa said, “Zimbabwe is witnessing an ever-increasing number of inventions and trademarks throughout its institutions of higher education.”
Biotechnology is multidisciplinary and involves the integration of natural sciences in order to improve human and health society.
