As the world of foldable smartphones continues unfolding (pun intended) at an exponential rate, Tecno recently unveiled its first foldable smartphone at the just ended Mobile World Congress 2023 held in Barcelona. The brand’s latest flagship, Phantom V Fold will be competing with the Samsung’s Fold and Huawei Mate line-up.
The Phantom V Fold is the world’s first left-right foldable smartphone to use the flagship Dimensity MediaTek 9000+ processor.
The dual-SIM, dual 5G processor customized especially for the device is produced by an advanced TSMC 4nm manufacturing process and delivers outstandingly smooth foldable device performance with low power consumption.
According to Tecno, the Phantom V Fold is easy to fold open and close, courtesy of TECNO’s self-developed, fixed-axis rotation and slide technology.
This also ensures almost no screen crease – giving users a better view of the phone’s Android-based operating system that is optimised for this specific device.
The phone will also be equipped with an ultra-clear 5-lens photography system, including a 50MP main camera with a super light-sensitive custom sensor, a further two rear lenses, as well as two front lenses.
