Zimbabwe’s largest State Owned Mobile Network Operator MNO NetOne recently participated at a National Clean-Up
Environmental campaign in Gweru.
The national clean up campaign was launched by the Second Republic on its inception in 2018 by President Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa in 2018 and has become a monthly tradition to set aside a day when the Ministry of Environment, Tourism and Hospitality through Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) this time in conjunction with NeyOne led the campaign.
This is in line with One of the milestones launched by His Excellency, The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Cde Mnangagwa, Themed “Zero Tolerance To Litter: My environment My Pride”.
NetOne shared the experience from Lailah Gifty Akita who said, “Cleanliness begins with individual desire to be clean.”
The NetOne family participated during the National Clean-Up on March 3, 2023, in Gweru and the PR Team Led by Roseline Chisveto took an active role in ensuring that the community maintains a clean, safe and healthy environment in Gweru.
The MNO NetOne was bestowed as a patron moving to ensure the country has sustainable environment management and waste disposal systems. The emphasis is on the importance of sustainable waste management for Zimbabwe to attain its vision of a Middle Class Economy by 2030 which is part and parcel of the Zimbabwe cleaning crusade.
