ZIMPOST Opens Procurement Service Centres in Midlands

0

ZIMPOST through its partnership with Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe(PRAZ) has activated Procurement Service Centres at its post offices in Gweru and Kwekwe.

The public procurement centres will provide bidders with access to services for registration as supplies for public entities.

The post offices will also enable participation in the bidding process at local and national level especially for those that live in marginalized areas by providing infrastructure and access to the internet.

The partnership was launched in 2022 and according to ZIMPOST, access to procurement services at post offices and Community Information Centres will bring both decentralization of services and ease of doing business.

“Zimpost and PRAZ launched a partnership in March 2022 in a bid to bridge the digital gap created lack of access to the internet by some groups in marginalised communities,”

“This partnership enables bidders, contractors and consultants to participate in the bidding for services or goods advertised regardless of their location or access to the internet. This partnership is not only a means of bridging the information gap and promoting ease of doing business, but it is also a key enabler for economic development,”
