The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reviewed the price of fuel with effect from today.
This was revealed in a memo that was published by ZERA that shows that Diesel (D50) will sell for ZWL$1 418.08 per litre and Blend-E5 will sell for ZWL$1 341.07 per litre.
Previously Diesel (D50) used to sell for ZWL$1 375.12 per litre and Blend-E5 used to sell for ZWL$1 297.90 per litre.
In United States Dollars (US$), Diesel (50) will sell for US$1.70 from US$1.71 per litre and Blend will remain at US$1.61 per litre.
“Stakeholders are advised that a decision has been made to migrate to monthly as opposed to weekly pricing that has been in place since May 2022. This ensure stability over a long period. As a starting point, the current review is for two weeks.
“Operators may, however, sell at prices below the cap depending on their trading advantages.
“Stakeholders are advised that petroleum price release by ZERA can be verified on the official ZERA website, Facebook or Twitter handle,” said ZERA.
