Huawei Mate X3 Specs Surface Ahead of Launch

0

The Huawei Mate 50 series was released last year, showcasing the company’s strength even without 5G capabilities. The comprehensive online discussion is currently focused on the P60 series and the Mate X3 series, with rumors suggesting that the Mate X3 will debut earlier than the P60 series.

However, recent reports from well-known blogger Digital Chat Station suggest that the Mate X3 may be delayed. The machine originally had two configuration combinations, with the high-end version set to use the IMX766 + IMX688 + IMX351 (corresponding to the main camera, ultra-wide angle, and telephoto lens). The main camera of this IMX766 is a bit puzzling, as it is almost obsolete, but it may be that Huawei later can tune it to a better level.

The core processor for the Mate X3 is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, and it comes with a 4800mAh battery and a 2K 120Hz eye protection screen. From a configuration point of view, the Mate X3 is not very high-end, but the Snapdragon 8+ processor is still powerful enough.

Huawei partnered with Beidou to bring satellite connectivity to the Mate 50 series in China. Then again, the service is restricted compared to Apple’s offering, even though both are first-gen examples of their breakthrough smartphone feature.

Accordingly, the 50 series can only send short messages and co-ordinates via satellite. However, the service is thought to upgrade to support for the ability to send messages in text and voice format, and perhaps even make short voice calls.

This technology is now projected to debut in the Mate X3, Huawei’s rumored return to the popular vertically-folding, cover display-enabled phablet category.
