France based Warriors Midfielder Marshall Munetsi has been appointed into the 34 member panel of the FIFPRO Global Player Council.
Munetsi alongside fellow Africans Rasheedat Ajibade (Nigeria) and Enez Mango of Kenya are the latest additions to the Council which serves as a platform for active players with international experience, ensuring viewpoints from both men’s and women’s football and different leagues from around the world are heard.
An elated Munetsi welcomed his addition into the global union that defends rights and interests of players against fake agents or government interference.
”Being a part of the Global Player Council means we can help footballers worldwide – such as protecting players against fake agents, or against government interference. I’m eager to get started,”said the Stade Reims Midfielder.
Munetsi joins the star studded panel that includes Arturo Vidal (Chile) ,Andre Onana ( Cameroon) and Andre Ayew amongst a host of other names.
The Global Player Council helps FIFPRO and its 66 affiliated national player associations represent footballers in negotiations on the most pressing issues in the game.
