JSC on another post highlighted that IECMS enhances justice through easy accessibility of cases, electronic consultation on chat platforms, electronics allocation and transfer of cases and virtual hearings and online notifications.

The move to digitalise JSC is in line with Government’s policy to take justice delivery system to the people in line with National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1).

IECMS system is a web-based Case Management System which automates and tracks all aspects of case life cycle, from the initial filing through disposition and appeal.

The First Phase of IECMS was commissioned on February 7, 2022, by then it was only catering for Magistrate Court, Commercial Court, Supreme Court and finally the Constitutional Court.

In the future IECMS will integrate with systems from organisations such as the Zimbabwe Republic Police, Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services, Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Court and many other organisations.
