Samsung is set to launch its latest lineup of flagship smartphones — the Galaxy S23 range — on 1 February 2023, according to leaker Ice Universe.
The Galaxy S23 series is expected to consist of three models – Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Samsung hasn’t divulged anything about them yet, but a few leaks online have revealed what users can expect from the new series.
The phones are said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 system on chip (SoC). The Galaxy S23 series will have a 12MP selfie camera across the board. All three phones will come pre-installed with Android 13 and a layer of One UI 5.0 on top.
It is also claimed that the S23 Ultra’s display, at 2200 nits, is brighter than the iPhone 14 Pro series. A new 200MP main camera will also be added to the phone. The quad camera system will be completed by two 10MP telephoto cameras with 3x and 10x optical zoom and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The battery capacity of the device will be 5000mAh, and it will support 25W fast charging and at least 15W wireless charging. There won’t be a charger in the box, in case you were wondering.
More details about the Galaxy S23 lineup will surface on February 1 at the Galaxy Unpacked event.
