367 ICT Students Graduate At TelOne

TelOne Centre for Learning conferred 367 ICT diplomas yesterday  at its 8th graduation ceremony  in Harare.

Addressing the graduands at the institution, guest speaker ICT Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere said human capital development is one of government’s 14 key priorities that will transform the macroeconomic landscape of the country.

“The National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1) identifies human capital development and a digital economy as two of the fourteen key priorities that are going to transform the macroeconomic landscape of the country,”

“Your graduation will underline government’s commitment in terms of ensuring that we will be in a position to transform the macroeconomic landscape, it is a fusion of a digital economy and human capital development that precisely as a ministry our vision is to ensure ubiquitous connectivity,” he said.

TelOne Board Chairman Dr  Douglas Zimbango added that the institution is one of a kind with the highest concentration of students across the country.

” We are proud that the centre has continually distinguished itself not only as a centre of excellence in Zimbabwe but also in the SADC region and beyond as we have TelOne Centre For Learning alumni in all these places following their successful graduation.

“With an annual enrolment of 760 students TelOne boasts with a market share of 43%of annual ICT enrolments across colleges of equal stature in Zimbabwe, this is to say TelOne Centre For Learning currently has the highest concentration of ICT students in the country,”
