The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has introduce a platform to pay electricity bills in United States Dollars (USD) in the comfort of your homes.
In a statement ZETDC highlighted that you can either pay using 3 options which are Ecocash, Online Banking or even as Walk-in Customer.
Steps to follow:
1. Using *153# you can now pay your electricity bill in USD in the comfort of your home or office. Simply send proof of payment , meter details and account number to the related WhatsApp number and our team will send you an electricity token or receipt showing your credited account.
2. Using Bank Account. You can also make a direct deposit or transfer to the related bank account for your region. Send proof payment , meter details and account number to the related WhatsApp number and you will receive a token or receipt showing your accredited account.
3. Walk -in Customer. Visit any of our banking halls and pay using provided USD merchant code. You will receive your token or receipt showing your credited account.
