Tynwald Bus Accident Driver Faces 7 Counts Of Culpable Homicide

The Tynwald High School bus driver who had been on the run since the fatal accident in Inyanga is set to appear before Mutare Magistrate courts to face culpable homicide charges.

The driver Machimbidzofa Chamunorwa is facing seven counts of  culpable homicde following the death of   a Geography and Sociology Upper 6 Tynwald teacher who was involved in that  fatal road traffic accident which killed six pupils last month  in Juliasdale, Nyanga.

Rukwena Chamunorwa (38) a teacher at the Tynwald High School had been admitted at a local hospital in Harare and  succumbed to the  injuries sustained in that fatal crash.

According to investigations, the accident occured after the driver a the driver failed to negotiate a curve in Inyanga.

The bus veered off the road to the left and rolled several times on a steep slope before landing on its roof.Five students were died on the spot while the other one died upon admission at a hospital and 35 other students sustained injuries.
