The Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed the arrests of two suspects in connection with a Marondera car hijacking case.
Tafadzwa Goremusandu and Olatius Mayemba were arrested in Marondera and face theft and car hijacking charges.
The two suspects boarded a Toyota Hiace Baby Quantum vehicle at the Fourth Street bus terminus.
It is alleged that along the way , the suspects stabbed the driver thrice on the chest, right limp and right thigh, with the driver sustaining serious injuries.
The suspects then robbed the driver of US$180 then dumped him before driving away in the vehicle towards Ten Miles.
The suspects were later apprehended by members of the public, a short distance from were they had dumped the vehicle after it broke down.
In another case Police are investigating a murder case in which a man (28) was fatally struck once on the head with a pick at a shebeen at Kennilworth, Inyathi, by a suspected mentally challenged man last month.
