Addressing his supporters after a sweet victory over his nemesis, Hon Biti said, “We were facing a deranged candidate, but the real person we are fighting is Kuda Tagwirei. He was hiding behind the skirts of Mavis Gumbo, so he poured money into her campaign.”

Tagwirei is a filthy rich businessman, who made headlines when the whole presidium and government descendant at his home to pay condolences in person simultaneously when Tagwireyi lost his father.

Tagwireyi has strong links to the presidium, particularly President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy Constantino Chiwenga.The same applys to billionaire Billy Rautenbach who made part of his billions through the Chisumbanje Ethanol fuel from the days of the late president Robert Mugabe.

Biti told Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) supporters in his constituency after his victory was confirmed having contested under the CCC banner, where he is President Advocate Nelson Chamisa’s deputy.

“The real work is in Parliament, that is my strength. We are going against corruption, and we are coming for you Tagwirei, we are coming for you Billy Rautenbach, the land barons, the cartels we are coming for them,” added Biti.

“So, if you are Tagwirei, you better go to the bathroom because we are coming for you.”

“The real battle is next year. We are not going to stop, we are not going to demobilise. What was most disappointing about these campaigns was that there was violence, people were beaten, but it does not have to be like that,” Biti said.

The re-elected Harare East legislator vowed to resume his exposé of alleged corrupt dealings by businessmen Billy Rautenbach and Tagwireyi whom he accuses of funding his rival, Mavis Gumbo’s political campaign.

Biti was contesting against Zanu PF candidate Gumbo and others in his bid to reclaim the Harare East seat.

Last year, Biti was recalled from Parliament together with Settlement Chikwinya, William Madzimure and Regai Tsunga by People’s Democratic Party secretary-general Benjamin Rukanda.

As Public Accounts Committee chairperson, Biti was vocal against Rautenbach, Tagwirei including the presidium whom he alleged allowed mighty Rautenbach and Tagwireyi to capture the state and was recalled when he was about to reveal more details of the businessman’s involvement in the command agriculture scheme.
