ZESA Resumes risk management awards

Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) has resumed the risk Management Awards that were delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic last year.
Speaking at the Risk Management Award Ceremony held in Harare, Tuesday. Dr Ish Makuzwa Group CEO of Cell Insurance has said, he is pleased with the efforts made to contain the pandemic. As they are now able to celebrate their success made by ZESA risk Management team.
The awards were running under the theme, “Powering the Nation to 2030 through Risk Management. Which is in line with Government’s vision to build a middle-income economy by 2030.
Makuzwa said, “The ZESA risk management awards ceremony was suspended last year, at the height of Covid-19 pandemic that ravaged the World.
“We are happy that the pandemic has been contained enough to allow us to cautiously resume the ceremony which is a celebration of the efforts made by ZESA units and teams in the employing and embracing, Enterprise-wide risk management.
He also said through these annual awards their team has managed to reach the highest point of development as far as risk management is concerned.
“These annual awards are part of our together with Risk Management Consultant, Makesure’s, commitment, as the power utility’s risk management of ZESA Holdings, through promotions of best risk management practices.
“We recognise the strategic position that ZESA Holdings plays, in the current efforts to rebuild the Zimbabwean economy through the provision of power to all sectors of the economy.
Kariba Power Station was the ZPC overall Risk Management winner, whilst Transmission West Region managed to be the ZETDC best overall Risk Management 2021 winner.
