Harare giants Dynamos have cruised to the quarter finals of the Chibuku Super Cup following a 1-0 victory of Yadah Stars.

Dembare have been in dorminant form, picking up 19 points out of a possible 21 enroute to the quarter finals.

Sylvester Appiah’s lone strike gave the Blue and White army the 3 points in a match in which Dynamos laboured to victory due to low fitness levels

Dembare coach Tonderai said that he was happy with how the team has played so far in the competition.

“I am happy that, so far in seven games, we conceded one goal. Of course, I will not talk about that one because we conceded an own goal,’’Ndiraya said

Ndiraya also added that the players were not great shape as football had been on hold due to covid-19 restrictions in the country.

”Firstly, I think what is important is the result that we got today. I am happy that we got the three points, which pushed us into the quarter-finals,’’ he said.

“That was our plan, when we started the games, so I am very happy for the team, and the work the boys put in. I think this was a very difficult match for us.

“Physically, I think, Yadah were better than us and that forced us to defend deep in the second half,he added
