Long John Launches GoFundMe campaign

Multi award winning Zimbabwean comedian Long John has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for him to tour Pittsburgh in the USA.

The multi-winning comedian is targeting to raise US$8 500 to enabled him to travel to the United States where he will be hosted by the Pittsburgh based Steel City Arts Foundation.

The Chimanimani bred comedian won a grant from the Steel City Arts Foundation and the organization will meet his kiving costs and expenses except flights and ither expenses

“Steel City AF will not be covering my traveling and visa expenses and this is where I need your help to raise money for air fares, legal fees and costs for an O-1 Visa Petition among others,”Long John said.

The GoFundMe campaign has so far raised US$1 324 out of the US$8 500 required to be able to make it to America.

The South Africa based comedian has proved to be a force to reckon with and his steady rise saw him winning the Steve Harvey Stand Up Spotlight Competition and also earned him a spot on Showmax stand-up comedy series “Funny People Africa”

The Steel City Arts Foundation (better known as Steel City AF) consists of many parts which include a detached three-bedroom home which houses comedians for six months at a time on a rotating basis, free of charge.
