Well Wishers, friends and fans across the world have donated a total of £4,760 , which is $ 6618.78 as at 1 August 2021, to MDC members Last Naengahama and Tungamirai Madzokere who were wrongfully jailed for 10 years over politically motivated crimes.the
As their GoFund me campaign comes to an end tomorrow, the two expressed gratitude to the goodwill expressed towards their cause and more importantly financial assistance meant to help them start over again, as they pursue their lives, on fresh note.
The two were wrongly convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison by Justice Chinembiri Bhunu. They had spent 10 years in prison, 2 years in pre-trial detention and 8 years after conviction.
A platform was opened for them to assist them towards a fresh start, earmarked for £30,000 , the figure was way too low, a sixth of the total projected, but still goes a mile to assist them
Interviewed by TechMagTv on their way forward and if at all they are considering to sue the state, the two kept the cards close to their chest as they craft their way out
