Parents to prepare for school reopening

Cabinet yesterday announced that parents are in the process of preparing schools reopening  for the second term.


Schools in the country have been closed due to an increase in the number of COVID19 cases , while reopening has been deferred twice.


During a post cabinet briefing on Tuesday , Information and Publicity Broadcasting Services Minister Mutsvangwa announced that the nation is preparing for the reopening of schools.

“As the nation prepares for the reopening of schools”.


 “Parents and guardians are expected to complement Government efforts to provide Personal Protective Equipment, sanitisers and other essential requirements for learners,” she said.

Government in June   postponed  schools opening by two weeks following the continued surge in new Covid-19 cases.

Schools were set to reopen for the second term this 28 June.
