Kazungula Bridge Toll Fees Announced

Tollgate fees for the newly built Kazungula Bridge which has stirred much controversy in the country with the government claiming ownership have been released.

The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has announced the toll fees to be paid by vehicles using the bridge with effect from 10 May 2021.

Recently, President Emmerson Mnangagwa made claims that the Zimbabwean government is also part of the Kazungula Bridge project while revelations proved that the local government did not participate in the construction of the bridge.

The issue made waves on social media with citizens blasting the government for lying about the project.
Apparently, Zimbabwe is supposed to pay a third of the bridge’s total cost, and become part of the project


Further to the notification by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) to all Customs Clearing Agents, importers, exporters, transporters, and the general public on the relocation of Customs Services from Livingstone port office to the newly built Kazungula One-Stop Border Post (OSBP), please take note of the following important aspects:


The operations at the new Kazungula OSBP will commence on Tuesday,11th May 2021
