Government has extended the operating hours of restaurants in the country from 8 to 9pm.
The COVID19 regulations are being further relaxed while operators have to maintain a 50% sit in capacity.
Recently Restaurant Operators’ Association of Zimbabwe (ROAZ) requested an extension of operating hours for restaurants.
Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa made the announcement on Tuesday at a post cabinet briefing.
“Cabinet approved that the operating times for the restaurants be extended to 2100 hours.”
Restaurants are expected to continue to be open for 50% percent sit-in capacity, takeaways and deliveries.”
“The nation is reminded that all beer halls, bars, pubs and nightclubs remain closed. Bottle stores should strictly open for takeaways, as required by the law,” she said.
Restaurants in the country reopened their doors for sit-in customers in March.
