Zimbabwe School Examination Council (ZIMSEC) said it will be releasing the November 2020 Advanced level results by end of April or in the early days of May.
In a statement, ZIMSEC public relations manager Ms Nicky Dlamini said the preparations for the release of the A level results is now at an advanced stage.
She further added Ordinary level results releasing dates are not yet known.
“We are expecting A Level results end of this month or the first days of May, then Ordinary level results will follow later, we do not have the exact dates, but we are assuming everything will be in order by end of this month,” said Ms Dlamini.
The delays in the release of the results has been caused by Covid 19 which has negatively affected the cycle of public examinations with the evidence of 2020 final examinations for all levels having started in December 2020 instead of October and November as usual.
Government recently approved the request for the suspension of ZIMSEC June exams as candidates were not fully prepared due to the induced lockdown that has affected schooling activities since last year.
Those who had wanted to sit in June will now join the large majority who are being prepared to sit in November.
The decision to suspend the ZIMSEC June examinations arose from the delays in sitting for the public examinations at the end of last year and the alterations of the standard calendar for education this year caused by schools having to be closed for the first two and half months of this year to combat the second wave of Covid-19.
