Govt approves state assisted funeral to the late Anne Nhira

Government has granted the late former Studio 263 actress Anne ‘Vimbai’ Nhira a state assisted funeral.

In a statement issued from the Office of the Chief Secretary of the President and Cabinet dated 15 March, President Mnangagwa approved the funeral to be assisted by the state.

“Please be advised that His Excellency the President has approved State State assisted funeral to the late Anne ‘Vimbai’ Nhira. You may proceed with the necessary arrangements.”

Anne, popularly known as ‘Vimbai Jari’ a character she played in the sitcom series Studio 263, passed away in South Africa when she sustained serious injuries during a robbery.

Nhira was allegedly coming from a prayer mountain when robbers pounced on her and fatally injuring her.
