The Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa will this afternoon swear in four newly appointed ministers, Chief Secretary to the President Dr Misheck Sibanda has revealed.

The swearing in ceremony will be held at State House.

The latest appointments by HE Mnangagwa follows the death of three ministers – Joel Biggie Matiza, Sibusiso Moyo and Ellen Gwaradzimba.

The trio died of COVID-19 related complications in a space of few days.

The Zimbabwean President did not waste time in finding their replacements and today he will officiate the swearing in of two ministers and two deputies.

The other Minister, Frederick Shava, who replaced the late Sibusiso Moyo will be sworn in at a later date after some clearance processes.

In a statement on Monday Sibanda said,” The Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr.J.M Sibanda advise that , the following Ministers who were recently appointed by President Emmerson Mnangagwa will be sworn in today at 15:00 hrs at state house.”
