Yolanda Kuvaoga, mother to the late socialite Mitchelle “Moana” Amuli said she is planning a second memorial service for her daughter in Highfields on the second of January next year.

Kuvaoga told the media that she did not attend the memorial service held by Moana’s father known as Sadaka for she did not understand the Islamic.

She further added that her failure to attend the memorial service was because she was against her divorced husband starting from the burial of their late daughter therefore planning to do a second memorial service in her own way.

“I was not part of their Sadaka as I do not understand their Islamic culture. In short, we have failed to agree on everything, from the burial.”

The memorial service was set for 2 January 2021 at Kuvaoga’s house in Highfields.

Moana died in a car accident on 8 November together with socialite and businessman Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure and two of their friends from Malawi and Mozambique in Borrowdale, Harare.

After a long burial drama that ended up in court, Moana was later buried at Warren Hills in line with her father’s Islamic culture though her mother had preferred Zororo Memorial Park.
