The outgoing United States of America President Donald Trump has fired the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) leader Christopher Krebs via Twitter

Krebs has been among the most vocal government officials debunking baseless claims about election manipulation, particularly addressing a conspiracy theory centered on Dominion Voting Systems machines that Trump has pushed.
The director of CISA, has been the objective of public criticism from Trump since the November 2020 elections over his agency’s Rumor Control blog, which disproves a rundown of false claims about political race fraud and hacking many of which Trump or his legal advisors have promoted as real after he lost the elections.
“I’m proud of the teammates and the work we did at CISA. We did it right,” Krebs told NBC News on Tuesday night after the firing
A source with information on the terminating said that Krebs got some answers concerning it through Twitter and that it was disturbing for him since he paid attention to the work. .
A close person to Krebs told NBC News that, Trump tweeted Tuesday night that Krebs had put out a statement concerning the election that was “highly inaccurate,” apparently a reference to a joint statement Thursday from CISA, the Election Assistance Commission and groups that represent the chief election officers in every state. The statement read, in part, “There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.”
Trump has said repeatedly challenged the elections results saying they were rigged though he is lacking vivid evidence to support his claim while numerous state and federal agencies have said the election was legitimate.
