Former Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity & Broadcasting Services and Goromonzi West Constituency legislator Energy Mutodi has called those who want to bid farewell to the late socialite and businessman Genius Ginimbi Kadungure in large numbers.
Kadungure and three other people in his car died after one of his posh cars (Rolls Royce Wraith) veered off the road, crashed into nearby trees and burst into flames killing three of the businessman’s associates who failed to extricate themselves from the wreckage.
Addressing mourners at Ginimbi’s mansion via a video in the presence of youthful millionaire’s relatives, Mutodi who is also the area legislator said people should come in their large numbers for a huge send-off.
“We loved Genius and he is our friend lets mourn with hope. We are here as the relatives of Genius as we are all aware he was involved in a car accident and died on the spot. So tomorrow, Friday, his body will come here and on Saturday morning burial will commence.”
“To all Zimbabweans who knew him and those that heard of him you are free and welcome to come here so we can give him a huge send-off to show our love for him. So I urge people to know that this is the Lord’s doing and we are all on our way to Heaven…”
“So we are all here Genius relatives and friends and Zimbabweans at large so we can bid farewell to him our Hero.”
His mass gathering call differs strikingly with the current COVID-19 regulations which have subsequently suspended all by-elections in the country.
