Reinstated interim Secretary-General of the opposition MDC-T, Senator Douglas Mwonzora has vowed to claim back possession of Harvest House , saying the recent occupation by MDC Alliance was unlawful.

Mwonzora made the remarks following occupation of the party’s headquarters on Sunday night by MDC Alliance youth members with the help of MDC-T youths.

The premises was was seized by the Supreme Court-reconstructed MDC-T four months ago with the help of the army, taking it from the MDC Alliance.

Addressing members of the media on Monday following his visit from the building, Mwonzora said they will take the premises back.

“ It is a question of time we are going to take our property back and we are taking it today. They are Mr, Chamisa people he arranged it we know that. “

“These people were organised and funded by G40 to take over our building, they have taken it unlawfully and violently,” he said.

The occupation of Harvest House yesterday gained police traction with riots being deployed outside the building , while some MDC Alliance youths were arrested.

Mwonzora added that , “We are not going to listen to any demands they are not in a position to make any demands they are in a weak position legally or physically. It is very different in the sense that we had a court order allowing us to occupy our building peacefully. “

Tensions have continued to worsen between the two factions lately .
