ZINASU Leader Ngadziore denied bail

Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) President Takudzwa Ngadziore who was arrested on Friday at Impala car rental has been denied bail by the Harare Magistrate Court and remanded in custody to the 5th of October 2020.

The Great Zimbabwe student is facing charges of participating in a public gathering with intend to promote public violence, breach of peace or bigotry as defined in Section 37(1)(b) of the criminal Law (Cordification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23

Magistrate Judith Taruvinga ruled that Ngadziore is not suitable candidate for bail saying that releasing him will undermine peace of public order

“The accused is likely to commit other offences as the accused person and his accomplices who are still at large have not yet accomplished their mission and have vowed to continue gathering at the same venue and commit similar offences. If granted bail accused is likely to team up with the accomplices and committing similar offences,”

She dismissed submissions by the defense council who had applied that Ngadziore is a suitable candidate for bail since on the day in question he was just addressing a pressing conference at OKMart along Chiremba road.

Ngadziore was arrested after he had addressed the media at ok mart against car rentals accompany demanding answers on the abduction Midlands State university Tawanda Mucheiwa
