Thokozani Khupe led MDC T has once again recalled Beitbridge Mayor and two more Councillors from the MDC Alliance in Beitbridge.
Nelson Chamisa led party MDC Alliance has been severely injured by the recalling of Members of Parliament and Councillors by the MDC T.
MDC-T strongly empowered with a Supreme Court ruling that declared Khupe an interim MDC-T leader, the Khupe led faction continues recalling senators and councillors belonging to the MDC-Alliance and have moved to replace the recalled legislators with candidates of their own choosing.
In a letter addressed to the Minister of Local Government and Public works Honourable July Moyo states that in terms of section 278 of the constitution of Zimbabwe, as read with Section 129 following,”…the following Councillors have been expelled from that party Ncube Morgan of ward 4,Nyoni Granger of Ward 5 and Tore Angeline.”
“This is in termes of section 121 of the Electoral Act,please inform the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission(ZEC).”
Beitbridge Officially now has three Councillors left.
